Ellen And Portia Top Mom Poll

Say you had to leave your kids in the care of a celebrity—yes, I know this is a ludicrous proposition, but play along with me! If you had to leave your kids with a celebrity, which star would you trust?

Choosy mothers chose Ellen DeGeneres and her partner Portia de Rossi in a poll conducted by ParentDish.com, AOL’s parenting site, and of the more than 10,000 moms that cast their votes, 31 percent voted for Ellen and Portia.

I don’t think Portia was the big draw but rather Ellen, who really is one of the most likable celebrities on the planet. I don’t have a child, but I would trust Ellen to take care of Carter Jr. if I had no other choice but to leave my kid in the care of a celebrity.

While Ellen and Portia came out on top of the ParentDish.com poll, Jennifer Aniston ranked second, raking in a respectable 22 percent of the vote, followed by Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt in third place with 18 percent.

I am not so sure I would trust Angelina and Brad to care for Carter Jr. I know they already have a half-dozen children of their own, but I don’t think I could trust them to give my kid back to me. You just know Angelina wouldn't be able to part with adorable little Carter Jr.

Anyway, while the premise of the poll is silly, I do find it interesting that the respondents would choose a childless lesbian couple and a single woman over a heterosexual couple with six kids. So much for the nuclear family. I’m actually proud of America’s moms for being so open-minded.

Who the HELL would leave their kid with Jennifer Maniston?

She is sooooo self-absorbed and 100% about her promotion. She would forget about the kid every 2 seconds, probably leaving him every time she got up to go somewhere. Or the kid would get trampled at the airport during one of her fake LAPD escort photo shoots where she calls the media and hires people to be there.
